Biography

Sylvia Nefkens obtained her Ph.D in chemistry from the ETH in Zürich, Switzerland, and has worked on raw materials for the home- and personal care industry for over 25 years in sales-, marketing- and R&D positions within companies such as Cognis, BASF and Corbion. As a technical market specialist at Celanese she has focused the past 4 years on developing the applications of Nutrinova® Sorbates in home care detergent formulations.
