Biography

Serena Cappelletti is the Distributor and Senior Customer manager for Dow Consumer Solution – Home care division,  responsible for the implementation of distribution strategy and the growth of the Home Care Segment across Europe.

Serena has been Country Manager for Dow Inc. in Ethiopia. In this role, she acted as business development manager for the consumer market, distributor and local talent manager. Thanks to her deep knowledge of the Ethiopian economy and industrial sector, Serena has been elected president of Amcham Ethiopia, after being part of the board for almost 2 years. Serena has been part of the working group to support a sustainable development of the Ethiopian manufacturing sector.

Before joining Dow Ethiopia, Serena was part of EMEAI Commercial Excellence team, covering different EMEAI leadership roles, She also worked as External Manufacturing Operation leader for Dow AgroSciences (2012-2015) and, prior to this, as Plant Engineer for Dow Adhesive in Mozzate (CO) (2008-2012).

Serena holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from University of Pisa and started her career as Junior Research Engineer in Colorobbia Italia (Florence 2004-2007) studying nanoparticles suspensions.
