Biography

Katerina Liapis is a polymer chemist with research experience at Henkel and Covestro in Germany. She joined Borregaard in 2017 as a research scientist, focusing on the use of wood-based biopolymers across a variety of applications. Since 2023, she is in charge of the promotion of lignin- and cellulose-based ingredients in home, industrial, and institutional cleaning applications. Her work bridges innovation and sustainability, helping formulators develop high-performance, sustainable-based solutions.
